Handmade Greeting Cards in Minutes

I have been very crafty here at the palace this week. I want to show you these 2 totally adorable cards you can make using one super simple template shape.

The first is this adorable little purse card. My dear friend gave me one of these for my birthday and I just had to take it apart and make a few myself.
Directions:
Fold an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of card stock in half hamburger way. Place the template shape below on the paper with the wide end on the fold. Trace and cut out the shape. Do not cut along the fold.

Cut a circle out of a contrasting patterned paper. Fold the circle in half. Using glue dots or a small dab of white glue attach a length of ribbon to the inside back of the circle close to the fold. Attach that same side of the circle to one side of the narrow (open) end of the card stock. Add a "clasp" of your choosing (be creative).

Stamp or write your greeting on the inside.

The next card I found at Outside the Lines. This is such a sweet cupcake card!

Directions:
Fold an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of card stock in half hamburger way. Place the template shape below on the paper with the wide end on the fold. Trace and cut out the shape. Do not cut along the fold.

Using the template Linsey posted at Outside the Lines cut out the icing and cupcake cup using any paper your little heart desires.

Get creative decorating your cupcake.

Glue the icing portion onto the wide (folded) side of the card stock shape. Then glue on the cupcake cup onto the narrow (open) side of the card stock slightly overlapping it on the icing.

Stamp or write your greeting on the inside.

Easy and cute home made cards works for me.
