Finer Things Friday-Foam Fingers

I am really excited and a little sad to write this post. My youngest sister Heather is graduating from high school on June 12. Milestones such as this tend to be bittersweet as another sister of mine Julie passed away four years ago and will not be there to celebrate.
Julie and I were very skilled at embarrassing our dear little sister during school events and performances. Well I am keeping the tradition alive.

Tonight my dear husband constructed three large foam fingers. They are amazing! I stamped HEATHER #1 on each. They will be used by my mom my grandma and myself to cheer Heather on as she crosses the stage to receive her diploma.
Celebrating one sister and remembering another is a Finer Thing to me.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your sister, Sarah. I can't imagine how difficult that must be.

I'm glad you & your Mom and grandma can make Heather feel special at her graduation. I'm sure she'll get a kick out of your efforts :-)

You are such a great sister! She will be so happy to have you there to cheer her on! :)

I am also sorry to hear about your loss. I can't imagine how you feel. You will be in my prayers, though.

What a fun graduation Heather will have! You are sweet (and ornery) to celebrate her like that. ;-)

Oh she'll be *SO* embarrassed (but probably touched as well)! :)

I just wanted to drop by to personally thank you for your nice comment about my photography on Laura Trevey's blog. I'm also hosting a giveaway, so if you feel really lucky and would like to try to win the photo to match her painting (wouldn't that be sooo lucky??), simply enter by leaving a comment on my blog tomorrow!

Warm wishes for a great upcoming graduation celebration!
