Yet, even knowing that there is a generational curse to be broken in our lives, I am not on guard as I should be.
So I am writing this to myself more than to you (you are still invited to continue reading of course though).
Pray with your husband!!!
Yes it may seem awkward and even a bit embarrassing to make the first move in this area of your marriage. After all shouldn't he be the spiritual leader in your home?
Ask in a way that encourages him to lead you in prayer together. Ask him what he wants and needs prayer for.
This change will be a wonderful gift not only to you, your spouse and your children but to generations to come.
We must protect our marriages. The only way I know how to do that successfully is through prayer.
Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my
Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.

Love this one Sarah! Great post!
Oh Sarah, did I ever need to hear this today. Divorce is very real in our family too, and we definitely need to guard our marriage more than we do.....thank you.
Thanks for the great reminder, Sara!
I totally agree. My mom has been married 3x, my dad2x. My husband's parents don't have a marriage anyone wants to model.
Yes, pray. We do. And I'm thankful for him. and Him.
Amen! Hubby and I have tried to pray together almost every night of our 15 years - when we slack off though, boy can we "feel" it!
Praying together is so important to spiritual intimacy with one another. Have you ever read Sacred Marriage? They have a devotional on that book as well that is very good!
Blessings to you & your hubby for a VERY long and happy marriage!!
