Fall Into Reading Challenge

I am really excited about this reading challenge! What a great way to organize the books I choose to fill my mind with.

Here are a few books on my reading list that come to mind:

1. A Man Called Moses by Bill Gallaher
A novel about Wellington Delaney Moses, who was a blacksmith in Barkerville BC.

2. The Edible Container Garden by Michael Guerra
Fairly self explanitory title I think.  Need to get prepared for next year.

3.The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer & Annie Barrows
My mother in law has recommended it to me and it seem quite popular so I thought i might give it a go.

4.The Busy Mom's Guide to Bible Study by Lisa Welchel
I am really drawn in by the description of this book:

"Not only is this plan doable, it's satisfying. As a busy mom, you give of yourself all day long - often with no way to refresh and replenish the cravings of your own soul. But this simple three-month, come-along-beside-you guide will take you deep into the Word, nourishing your heart and soul. And in just three months, you will be a changed woman - changed by the power of God's word in you."

5. Crocheting For Dummies by Susan Brittain and Karen Manthey
I really want to learn how to crochet so I can make cute stuffed animals :)

6. Shepherding a Child's Heart by Tedd Tripp
 Truthfully the title intrigues me.

7. Same Kind of Different as Me by Ron Hall, Denver Moore & Lynn Vincent
I saw this on the Roger's Family Blog book list and once again am intrigued by the title.

I will probably add more as I go, I just haven't planned my reading schedule too far ahead yet I suppose :)

Come join the challenge!  Click on the picture at the top of my post for more info!

You'll have to tell me what you think of Same Kind of Different As Me. I am going to the library to get it today.

I noticed you had Shepherding A Child's Heart on your list. That is one I have heard lots about as well. Now you've got me thinking I might need to add that one. =)

Hope you have fun as you begin your Fall reading!

"The Edible Container Garden" - sounds very interesting. And how many times have I seen the "Potato" book? I MUST read that book myself. It has to be good as much publicity as it gets. Your list looks great. Have fun!

Looks like a great list, Sarah! I really enjoyed Guernsey Literary..., even though it's not the type of book I usually read. Good luck with the crocheting! My mom taught me when I was little, and though I haven't crocheted much during the last few years, it's still nice to have that skill.

Thanks for being part of Fall Into Reading '09!

I love how you give a little description of the books. You make them all sound appealing! I did read Same Kind of Different as Me and liked it so much I bought a couple copies for gifts. Hope you enjoy it, too :) Happy, happy reading.

I like your list, esp. `The Busy Mom's Guide to Bible Study`.
`Crocheting for Dummies` looks good as well. I crochet afghans, but I only know the granny square, and I don't know how to join them. So I crochet one big `Granny Square`. LOL
Enjoy Crocheting & reading!
