Call to Pray

Ok so I know that I have quite a few followers. I am not sure who actually comes and reads my blog faithfully, but I am calling out for prayer covering. If you have not read about my Inner City Camp Out You can click here to do so.
Now to update you on what is going on. There is a lot of spiritual battle going on in this neighborhood. From depression to addiction to heart break to violence. I would ask that you pray specifically for Henry. He is seeking the Lord but his past sin is holding him back.
Also please pray for Barbara. She is a depressed elderly lady who sleeps all day to avoid life.
Lastly please pray for me. This week there has been a heavy exhaustion over me. I would ask that you pray for it to be lifted so that I can be effectively fighting this battle.

Some other small details about my week:
Monday night- We had two customers come to our door looking for crack. (just to make sure you all know we are not crack dealers but the previous occupants were)
Tuesday night- Members of our church came to visit us and pray for us. One of the women was attacked with an instant major headache as she prayed. We are certain that demons were at work.
Wednesday and Thursday were quite quiet.
We came home for the weekend on Friday night.

We are headed back for another week on Sunday night.
Thank you so much everyone!

Going to war for you and your family. It sounds remarkably similar to the spiritual battle I had to contend with when I worked on a first nation. I'll continue to keep you covered in prayer. God bless you for your heart to minister to those that are hurting the most. Psalm 91 is definitely an awesome one to stand on.

Sarah,

I saw your comment on Renee's blog. What you are doing is amazing!! Thank you for asking for prayer covering. You are doing such important work for God...reaching the least and the lsot. Satan will come after you hard. I pray the armor of God over you and your ministry. I pray the mind of Christ will saturate you day in and day out so that discouragement and doubt will not creep in. I pray God's love and compassion will fill your heart so full so when you feel you can't take another step, you will be able to take many.

God bless you, sweet friend, for this ministry.

I want to encourage you, as we are inner city dwellers also. We've had our vehicle stolen eight or nine times, a tire thrown through our window twice, and even came home to a man in our house once~LOL! Through it all we are FINE, and we trust in God's sovereignty that our children are somehow prepared to handle life issues in a unique way they may have needed for whatever reason. ~smile~ Now, sixteen years later, our neighborhood is going historic and is slowly getting better.

Let me also share that the people here are PRECIOUS! The children like to sing hymns to the homeless or drunk on the way to the library sometimes~or we may just stop and chat for a time. Sadly, they have already been churched~so I don't know if our witness is effective? Anyway, we loved being of service when it was needed, and now as the people around us are starting to have more than we do, we don't know our purpose anymore. (Like feeding someone on our porch with a pretty tray and flower~even if it's just a cream cheese/nut sandwich and homemade lemonade!)

Hang in there, and I'm rootin' for ya and praying too! (((((HUGS))))) sandi

One more thing...I am a recent witness to someone turning their life over to God though all deemed it a lost cause. After many years of praying this person is now going to church.

Truly a delight! We serve on the mission field in the heart of the inner city! Now I know, I'm coming back. When someone knocks on your door looking for crack, that's a family I want to get to know. And it is an honor to pray for you!

Blessings from this missionary mommy,
Sarah Dawn
