Zibbet Tuesday- Artemis 53

Meet Diane.

She is the owner of a lovely vintage shop called Artemis 53.  Wonderfully enough I am able to do a feature piece on her shop.  Read on to learn more about Diane:
Tell me a bit about you.

Well, I've been divorced for 17 years (Yes, 17. That's not a typo). I'm the Mother of 2 Wonderful, Grown Sons. One is a Deputy in West Palm Beach and My Youngest is now flying Blackhawks in the Army. Both are married and I consider them to be the greatest Assets of My life.
I also am a Registered nurse and work full-time nights in a stepdown and ICU. I just can't seem to get that "helping people" out of my system. It seems to be right up there with breathing.
I live with 3 cats and try to make things as simple as possible. I garden like a Crazy person and restore antiques when I wish. All shops are dedicated to my Mother who passed in 2008. She had an 'eye' for beauty and the unusual and passed it onto me. If I'm not doing the shops, I'm online and taking courses for my certification specialty.

Diane's favorite items:

Where does your inspiration come from?

My inspiration comes from the teachings of my Mother, a High respect for History and an appreciation of a Gentler form of life that I've derived from the South.

Any words of encouragement for other Zibbet sellers?

I would say to just keep going even if it's in 'baby steps'. A seed doesn't become a Tree overnight and the site will blossom. Remind yourself that it is a privilege to be part of something new. We are never Promised a tomorrow so do as much as you can today even if that means sitting down to a keyboard.

This is unrelated but I just stumbled upon a comment you left on my blog in April. You had asked about a Roomba vacuum and I don't know if I ever answered you. It is definitely worth it!! I got mine for my bridal shower. Some on my friends have got their own since and they all like them. We have all linoleum and wood floors in our home. It performs equally well on carpet. It will go from wood to the carpet rugs but does tend to leave bits of hair and things along the edges of the rugs. Hope this helps, sorry so late! :)
