Give Me Your Brilliant Ideas!

Look at this great fabric that I have!

I want to make a simple patchwork throw for my living room.  So please bog me down with your favorite, simple (this will be my first quilt) pattern, tutorials and ideas.  Leave links!

I love the fabric. And if you want my advice (trust me I am a novice myself) I would go with a block pattern. Here is a link to where I showed off my few quilts and as you can see most of them are block patterns that you can make in any size or pattern. My favorite is the first one on top.http://homesteadersheart.blogspot.com/2008/09/some-of-my-finished-sewing-projects.html

I'm sure you can find tutorials online somewhere. I'm blessed to have a best friend who knows what she's doing! LOL.
Hugs my friend and I can't wait to see what you come up with.

I'll see what I can dip up. A simple 4 patch could be pretty.
Are you up for sewing triangles? Or do you want to just stick with squares?

I used this one when I needed to know how to bind a quilt: http://crazymomquilts.blogspot.com/2008/10/binding-tutorial.html . Worked for me!

By all means quilt away, and I do agree that they do look great together...I just saw that apple print and wished that I sewed. I'd love some simple summer dresses in that fabric for both my girls ;)

I can't wait to see your quilt !

I love those fabrics! I can't wait to see what you make. My husband's aunt is a quilter. She always recommends the Eleanor Burns' books for beginners especially. Does your library have any quilting books? Have fun.
