What I Learned This Week

The first time I attempted to bake buns they turned out beautiful. Golden brown and fluffy. But they stuck to the pan and I ended up with lovely bottomless buns.
So I have learned the parchment paper is my friend.

These babies just popped right out! Easy Peasy.

Also if you wet the paper wet first it conforms to the pan better.

Never heard that about wetting the paper before. And it had never occurred to me.

I love homemade buns!! Great lesson! Cause you know those bottoms are pretty important if you want to keep everything inside the bun!

They look lovely.

But here (N Ireland) we call cupcakes buns, and these look like what we call rolls, so what do you call rolls?!

Sarah, can you give me the recipe to your buns? I've never made rolls before and want a good recipe to start with. Do you mind? They look great! Just email them to me if you don't mind becky@gnat.ca
